A new partnership has been set up to help public sector organisations transform their services to meet the challenges of the new decade.

Management consultancy Public Private Ltd (PPL) and PR and marketing agency DTW have joined forces and are developing a bespoke range of products and services to help support public sector organisations looking to change the way they operate.

They are forging the new link to bring together their collective public sector expertise to deliver high level strategic and operational change programmes across the public sector. Discussions are currently underway with a number of local authorities and PCTs about piloting new approaches to service delivery.

PPL is a London based independent management consultancy that works across a range of sectors, including local government, education, health and the private sector.  Founded in 2007, PPL works with its clients to devise and implement strategies and solutions supporting improved service delivery and efficiency.

Cleveland based DTW is an integrated full service marketing, PR and digital communications agency specialising in work for the public sector. Founded in 1989, DTW focuses on delivering professional communications solutions in sensitive and challenging environments.

The collective team includes senior practitioners with direct experience in developing, delivering and communicating public service improvement and change in large organisations.  Between them the two companies have worked for hundreds of local authorities, NHS trusts and other public service providers in areas like education and central government.

Simon Morioka, Managing Director of PPL, said: “The public sector is entering a new phase of change and facing pressures that haven’t been seen in decades.  Whilst this provides a strong opportunity to innovate, change will not necessarily always be for the better.  The overriding challenge for those leading public sector organisations is to maintain and improve outcomes whilst balancing budgets and leveraging best-practice in service delivery wherever it may be found. We’ve found there is a strong recognition amongst public sector bodies that they need to get to grips with this agenda and we’re looking for organisations interested in piloting new approaches”

Peter Whelan, Managing Director of DTW, said: “There will be intense staff, public and media scrutiny of any changes proposed within the public sector, and it is vital that organisations engage with these crucial stakeholders at an early stage. We believe this new partnership with PPL will combine our communications expertise with their broader management consultancy specialism to give a complete service for organisations looking to transform the way they deliver public services.”

Our services are now available at specially negotiated rates on a “call-off” basis via national frameworks open to all UK public, voluntary and community sector organisations.
